Supervision, Study, and Writing Groups

Dr. Kuchuck runs supervision, study, and writing groups for psychoanalysts and other mental health professionals at all levels of experience. The groups meet in his office or via Skype and vary in emphasis depending on interest, although most focus primarily on some combination of supervision, reading, and in some groups; writing for presentation and publication. Among other relational psychoanalytic considerations, readings and discussions focus on the therapist’s subjectivity as a diagnostic and clinical tool, and as a way to track and understand the clinician’s impact on the treatment. We consider contemporary writers from a variety of orientations, integrating relational ideas with contemporary Freudian, object relations, and post Bionian field theory perspectives.
